C6-Specific Expertise

What We Fix On C6 Corvettes

The C6 generation introduced supercar-level performance to the Corvette lineup — and the service complexity that comes with it.

Harmonic Balancer Common Failure

The C6 harmonic balancer is a known weak point. Outer ring separation causes vibration and belt squeal. We replace with OE or upgraded ATI/Fluidampr units.

LS7 Valve Guide Wear (Z06)

LS7 valve guides wear prematurely on some cars — diagnosis, head removal, and proper service of this $$$$ engine.

Column Lock Module

Same issue as late C5 — column lock failure prevents start. Diagnosis, bypass, and replacement.

Magnetic Ride Control Service

MRC shocks can fail or leak. We replace shocks and diagnose the controller.

Dry-Sump Oil Service (Z06/ZR1)

Dry-sump systems need specific service procedures. We handle the oil pump drive belt, oil cooler, and full system maintenance.

ZR1 Supercharger Service

LS9 supercharger oil change, inlet manifold service, intercooler system maintenance.

Differential Cover & Rear Cradle Leaks

Same C5-era leaky butt issues persist into early C6s. We seal it up properly.

Power Steering Cooler

C6 power steering coolers leak. We replace with upgraded units.

LS3 Camshaft Upgrades

LS3 cam swaps, header installs, and dyno-tuning for street and track performance.

Owner Questions

What C6 Owners Ask Us

Why does my C6 Corvette have a vibration at idle?
The most common cause is harmonic balancer failure — the outer ring separates from the inner hub as the rubber bonding ages. This causes engine vibration, belt squeal, and accessory misalignment. We replace the balancer with an OE or upgraded unit.
Do you service the LS7 engine in C6 Z06?
Yes. The LS7 is a 7.0L (427ci) all-aluminum, dry-sump V8 producing 505 hp. We service the dry-sump system, replace valve springs as needed, and address the well-documented valve guide wear issue when it appears.
Can you service the supercharged LS9 ZR1?
Yes. The LS9 is a supercharged 6.2L producing 638 hp. We service the Eaton supercharger (oil change), intercooler system, fuel injectors, and the unique ZR1 cooling and exhaust components.
My C6 won’t start. Could it be the column lock?
Yes — column lock failure carries over from the C5 platform into early C6s (2005–2007 in particular). We diagnose, bypass where appropriate, and replace components.
Do you do magnetic ride control (MRC) service?
Yes. C6 MRC shocks fail in characteristic ways — leaking, harsh ride, MRC warning lights. We replace shocks and diagnose the controller.
Can you upgrade my C6 base LS3 for more power?
Yes. LS3 cam swaps, long-tube headers, exhaust upgrades, and tuning are bread-and-butter work for us. We’ve done many C6 performance builds.

Your C6 Deserves The Best.

Specialized repairs, expert diagnostics, craftsmanship you can count on — done right the first time.
