Corvette Cooling System Service— Florida Heat Versus Aluminum V8. —

Florida summers are a cooling system stress test. Stop-and-go traffic at 95°F with 80% humidity exposes weak radiators, dying fans, and undersized water pumps fast. We service Corvette cooling for the climate you actually drive in.

Why Legendary For This Service

Cooling System Service
For The Florida Reality.

Corvette cooling capacity is borderline from the factory — and Florida heat finds the borderline fast. Sitting in traffic on US-41 in August reveals every weak link: tired radiators, slow electric fans, water pumps with degraded impellers, and coolant that’s seen 7 Florida summers.

We service Corvette cooling systems for the climate they actually live in. Aluminum radiator upgrades. Electric fan upgrades. Water pump replacement. Coolant flushing with the correct DEX-COOL or DEX-COOL-compatible spec. Florida-spec cooling work.

If your temp gauge climbs in traffic — fix it before it gets worse.

Owner Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How often should Corvette coolant be changed?
GM-spec DEX-COOL is rated for 5 years/150,000 miles. In Florida, we recommend every 4-5 years regardless of mileage because heat accelerates coolant breakdown. Most Corvettes coming in for first cooling service have coolant 8+ years old.
My C5 runs hot in stop-and-go traffic. What’s the most likely cause?
Usually a failing electric cooling fan, a tired water pump impeller, or radiator efficiency loss from internal sediment. We pressure-test the system, scope the fans, and check water pump flow before recommending the fix.
Should I upgrade to an aluminum radiator?
For C5/C6/C7 Corvettes driven in Florida, yes — DeWitts, Be Cool, and Mishimoto all make excellent upgrade radiators that handle Florida heat much better than the OE plastic-tank units. Worth the upgrade if you’re already replacing the radiator.
Can you flush my Corvette cooling system?
Yes. We do proper coolant flushes with system pressure testing afterward to confirm there are no leaks. Critical maintenance item that gets skipped on most Corvettes.
Why does my C6 leak coolant near the front?
Most common cause is a failing power steering cooler — they corrode and develop pinhole leaks. We replace with upgraded units that don’t have the corrosion problem.
Does my C7 Z06 need supercharger heat exchanger service?
Yes. The supercharger intercooler runs its own cooling loop with its own coolant. This needs periodic flushing — ours does it as part of major service for these cars.
